Dinosaurs Part 1

This term we are studying about dinosaurs. I am going to talk about the Velociraptor. The Velociraptor was fierce, fast infact it was one of the fastest dinosaurs. It was a meat-eater and it lived in the late Cretaceous period.

It had 80 sharp teeth and claws on all fingers and toes. The velociraptor could of been found up to 5 to 6 feet long.

Then we studied abut the Triceratops. it is a herbivore which means it is a plant eater. It ate low lying plants like bushes. It could not reach the leaves of a tree because it is so short. It looks like a bull with horns attached to its head. It is very slow and it was probably the slowest out of all of them.

So that was the end about me telling you about the Velociraptor and the Triceratops's.

Mt Wellington VS Papakura

Last week we had a game against Papakura. We lost to them last year. They are a very hard team. Their Halfback was fast and had skills and their prop had lots of power like a strong bull. He could bust through lots of tackles.

The game kicked off. I was Center with Xaiver. Kiore got the ball and he had the first run. He got tackled to the ground. A boy called Pheonix got the ball and passed it to Charm (in Room 17). Charm also got tackled and then when the other team got the ball they nearly got a try, but the ball went dead when they kicked it past the dead ball line.

When our team got the ball back, Charm got the ball, but then he got injured because someone sat on his back from the other team. Charm had to go on the bench, and Duran took his place.

The game was exciting and there were lots of supporters down at Dunkirk. When there was only 20 minutes left, a big boy on the other team ran fast to get a try, but a boy on our team called Reid did a huge tackle on him and he didn't get the try.

At the end of the game, the other team had won, but we had a good game anyway.

New Zealand Tag

Our team is the East side Soldiers. Today is the Tag tournament. We only lost one game against the Mighty Turtles. They are undefeated, but now we need to beat them in the Elimination tournament. First game against the Mighty hawks We won 4-9.

Our next game was against Tag Along BUT!!! It was a mix up we are going to V's the TURTLES
So Tony our coach said it is time for no mercy 110%.

The game started. We kicked it off to them. They ran hard. We tried to get them every time they made us tired lots of times. It was a draw 6-6.

Then they got a run away. The person was 20 metres away. I ran as fast as i could. I ran like there was no tomorrow. I was so close and he was so close to the try line. I dived and I got his tag off. The game ended 6 all. We were so tired of giving 110% to them. They took it out of us and we took it out of them.

I got tired. We vs Tag Along and we thrashed them 18-1. It was time to give out the most valuable player out of the team choice. It Was......ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So then i gave every thing i had to win the semi finals so i ran my fastest and we won the tournament.

My Holidays

Wow! Oh up, down, twisting, turning. In my holidays I went to Rainbows End. It was fun . My favourite ride was the roller coaster. It was fun because it was twisting and turning, and flipping me around. I liked it when I went upside down. Me and Raven went on it ten times. www.viewauckland.co.nz

I went with my cousins Adrien, Jordan, Charm and Raven. Also I went with my uncle Sam. My second favourite ride was the Power Surge. When I went on it, my mums friend Sylvia was screaming loud. She was screaming because it was flipping upside down and spinning around like she was a spinning top. I was laughing so hard when we got off, I was still laughing.

As we got to the end of our day, we were hard out on the roller coasters. Then the day ended so that was my day at Rainbows End.
