Tennis

Tennis is a interesting and competative sport, when I had my first session of tennis I was unexcited because I didn't like wacthing Tennis because I thought it was boring just hitting the ball from one side of the court to the other side. But I haven`t actually played it so when i started playing it I enjoyed it alot.

Today was my seconed session of playing tennis I was looking forward to it this time, we had a little tournament to see what group of students were the best tennis players in our class. Our group started of on the topside of the court and I thought we would win the tournament go through undefeated and stay champions,but it was a different story. On my turn I served the ball to my oppenent he hit it back and I was linning up the ball for a good hit I slamed it but unfortunally into the net! I was dissapointed of my hit. We lost that macth and so we got droped into the lower ranked court. I was expecting more from our group.

I was determaind for revenge and was ready to unleash the Rafal Nadal like player inside me. I was first up i serevd the ball and it came straight back at me i slamed it straight back but yet again it came back, I chased the ball and hit it into the top right corner that won the game for us!!! I was happy with myself. BUT! Our trainer Marcelle didn`t belive that we won and gave the opossing team the win and a trip to the 1st ranked court.

Tennis is now one of my favourite sports to play. Even though the rain delayed our tournament a bit and even though we didn`t come anywhere in the tournament I still had fun and enjoyed our session with Marcelle (Instructor). Even though that i think that Tennis is a boring sport to watch it is a fun sport to be apart of and play. I can`t wait until our next session of Tennis.

This term our topic was 'Outta this world' . This is my Mnemonic about our solar system.

Conversation of France.

We have had allot of fun learning about France and there culture .

“Good morning Tyler,” Said Griffis,
“ Good Morning Griffis, said Broffin, This is my first time in France and I would like for you to ask me a few questions on France “
“Do you know what the capital of France is?”
“Indeed I do, it is Paris,” replied Broffin.
“Do you know what continent France is on?” asked Griffis.
“Yes I do, it is in Europe," replied Broffin.
“You are on a roll,” said Griffis .
“What are the colours on the French rugby jersey?” asked Griffis.
“ Yes I do Black and Blue,“ said Broffin.
“ OK, Next question. Who is the previous France captain?” asked Griffis.
“ Is it Dimitri Yachvili !” Replied Broffin.
Griffis stood in silence and nodded his head. “You are one confident buck.” said Griffiis
“ Thank you !” cheered Broffin.
“ Do you know what colour the French flag is? “ asked Griffis
“ I do!” shouted Broffin, it has stripes with colours Red,White and Blue!”"yes you are right, What are two major celebrations in France
“ ok, you got that right, but do you know who the first settlements to ever step on France?” said Griffis.
“ oh Good question , was it the Pakeha’s" said Boffin
“ olalala ! no it wasn’t the Pakeha’s it was the Gauls,” spoke Griffins.

Silly Sports day

There I was hobling along with my mate Feki beside me, we had to win this race to make it into the finals. Last Tuesday team five had a silly sports day, the sun was shining brightly with a slight breeze and the oval was nice and soft. Me and my mate Feki were hobling in a three leged race, our inside leg was tied up so we had to use three legs to walk with. I managed to make it into the finals with my other freind but we didnt win it.

The hardest activity for me was Ms T's because it was hard to control the slingshot. The objective was to use the slingshot to fire the ball into the hoops to score points. Every time i went up for my turn i tried to shoot the ball to the left so the wind could push it into the hoops for points, I never got the ball in the hoop it always came up short of the hoop. We scored no points in this activity until Ms V said if we hit her we get a hundred points no one in our class could hit her so Ms T tryed and she hit Ms V on the stomach. But we didnt score any in that activty.

My favourite activty of the day was Ms Langitupu's because it was fun and we won! The objective was to get all players on the other team out by touching them with the ball. It may sound easy for the team with the ball but you are not aloud to move around with the ball in hand. My team was the colour blue we had all the sporty people in my team. On our first game we had fun only two people got out and the rest survived. Our next macth was the finals for our class we were all pumped up to win. We all focused on one person to get out , we got all of the yellow team out and we were the champions of our class at this event.

The silly sports day was an awsome day I had lots of fun and it was very competive, i hope that we have another silly sports day.

Keep your eye on the ball

We are using the nations of the 2011 Rugby World Cup as our inquiry path.
For this unit we are in one of four teams: Brumbies, Force, Rebels, Stormers. My team is BrumbiesThere will be a number of tasks for us to navigate to achieve our goal of an excellent result in this unit. There are a mixture of individual and team tasks to be completed. The main task that will show our learning in this unit will be a Hyperstudio presentation about one of the countries in the World Cup competition.

I am exited for the world cup because it is gonna make history for New Zealand rugby.
